Logo Design Tips for Business Owners

In the time that I’ve been doing graphic design for companies and individuals, I’ve learned from several mistakes. I often try to pass on that knowledge to new clients. Here is a summary, inspired by a post on the LOGO DESIGN LOVE website.

1. A logo doesn’t need to say what a company does

This has to be the most important thing that I try to tell people. To build off of real world experience, I reference well known GLOBAL companies. For example, McDonald’s doesn’t have burgers in their logo, and Nike doesn’t have shoes in theirs. And my favorite, the Apple logo isn’t a computer. Read the rest of this entry »
